Ulcerative Colitis
A chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in which abnormal reactions of the immune system cause inflammation and ulcers on the inner lining of your large intestine.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
A group of symptoms that occur together, including repeated pain in your abdomen and changes in your bowel movements, which may be diarrhea, constipation, or both.

Colonoscopy
A colonoscopy is a procedure performed under anesthesia to directly visualize the colon (and sometimes the bottom of the small bowel), looking for polyps, inflammation, hemorrhoids and other problems. It can help detect and prevent several diseases or conditions, such as colorectal cancer, colon polyps or tumors, or Crohn’s disease.
EGD
An esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) is a procedure performed under anesthesia to directly visualize the esophagus, stomach and top of the small bowel, looking for inflammation, ulcers, bacterial infections and other problems. It can help detect and prevent several diseases or conditions.
